This website is designed to collect as little as possible.
Who is responsible: AlphaPlay LLC, 11140 Rockville Pike, Suite 100-639, Rockville, MD 20852-3149, USA. Email: contact@virtualautismbook.com.
- No advertising cookies or trackers. The site uses only the cookies it needs to work. Visit statistics are collected only if you agree in the cookie banner (the language sites set no cookies and collect no visit statistics).
- The letter. If you subscribe to our free letter, you do it on Substack, under Substack’s privacy policy; this site never sees your address. Substack shows the publisher, AlphaPlay LLC, the addresses of the letter’s subscribers, which are used only to send the letter and are never sold or shared. Every letter has an unsubscribe link. We send no other email.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we use your message only to reply, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Purchases. Books are sold by the stores linked on this site. Products sold on this site are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant and handles payment details; we never see your card number.
- Your rights. Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to contact@virtualautismbook.com.
Legal bases and your rights (EU, EEA, UK). We answer messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); on the main website, optional visit statistics run only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw in its cookie banner at any time; the language sites set no cookies and collect no visit statistics; if you subscribe to the letter on Substack, it is sent on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you withdraw with the unsubscribe link in every email; purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record under its own privacy policy, and we receive the order details it shares with us to support the purchase (Art. 6(1)(b)). Our service providers are Squarespace (this website), Cloudflare (language sites), Google Workspace (email), Substack (the letter) and Lemon Squeezy (shop), some of them in the United States, using the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We keep messages for up to 24 months after our last reply and order records as long as tax law requires. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work.
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for a short time for security.
